As part of the implementation of the “Renewable Energy for Sustainable Transformation of the Rural Economy (RESTORE)” Project, KAKUTE Project is seeking to hire two Project Officers to be based in Monduli district and Babati district, respectively (one per district). In close collaboration with the Program Manager, the Project Officers will be responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities within their respective districts, working under the supervision of the Project Coordinator. The Project Officers will also work closely with ICSEE staff, the NGO partner of KAKUTE Projects, in the implementation of the RESTORE project.
Qualifications for Project Officers:
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management or implementation.
- Knowledge and experience in renewable energy solutions (previous work experience in this field is preferred).
- Proficient in computer tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Knowledge of other languages commonly spoken in the district for which the candidate is applying will be an asset.
Responsibilities for Project Officers:
- Coordinate and implement project activities, reporting to the Program Manager in Arusha.
- Manage project plans and ensure project objectives are met.
- Work closely with stakeholders, community members, and team members, and attend quarterly project meetings.
- Ensure smooth project implementation in the district.
The Project Officers are expected to spend most of their time in the field, including in the project’s intervention areas.

KAKUTE Projects is seeking to hire an Accountant to serve the RESTORE project from KAKUTE’s office based in Arusha city. The Accountant will collaborate with the Program Officer, keep all financial reports from the field, monitor financial transactions, and maintain all financial records following the financial policy and project contract.
Qualifications for Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office tools (especially QUICK BOOK and Excel).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities for Accountant:
- Prepare and maintain financial reports for the project.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Keep accurate records of all financial activities and transactions.
- Collaborate with project staff to ensure effective financial management.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for project activities.
